The Teaching and Learning Unit (TLU) in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning supports the Faculty, academic staff and students. It was created to further enhance the Faculty's commitment to teaching excellence and to the quality of its students' learning experience.
The TLU provides induction of new staff into University and Faculty teaching and learning policies, practices and requirements. It conducts training for both permanent and sessional academic staff and provides teaching practice development through a structured observation and feedback program. The TLU also provides advice in a variety of teaching and learning areas, through individual consultations and a series of workshops. The TLU consults with Faculty student groups and liaises with the Student Centre to inform teaching practice and better address student needs within the Faculty.
The TLU reflects the importance the Faculty places on the scholarship of teaching and learning.
