Dr. Wu has conducted research on emerging property markets and international property development, especially in the Chinese context. His PhD and Masters theses were associated with urban redevelopment, property economics and their impact on inner-city built form and property markets e.g. the emergence of CBDs and the development of Olympics precincts. His PhD: Understanding emerging commercial property cycles in China compared mature and immature markets with a special focus on the cyclical behaviour of the Chinese commercial property market which has experienced continuous structural change.
Hao holds a BSc in Land Management from Nanjing University, with a two-year diploma in Legal Practice from the Nanjing Law School. After working as an assistant property consultant in Guangzhou, he studied property in the University of Auckland, followed by a Masters of Property & Construction from the University of Melbourne, specialised in quantity surveying. Hao has been involved in projects with the faculty, industrial bodies and overseas institutions. He has published in Australian property journal, conferences, and contributes column articles to China Real Estate Business – a weekly newspaper published in China for property developers and investors.
