Dr. Doloi has made a significant contribution to the project and construction management disciplines in the life cycle decision appraisal context specifically by enhancing theoretical and exploratory knowledge in the field. As part of the PhD research, Dr. Doloi developed a discrete event process simulation model for effective front-end planning and optimal management of projects. Prior to joining the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, Dr. Doloi had been involved in two consecutive large research projects funded by the ARC as Post Doctoral Research Fellow.
As part of the first project "Intelligent Project Management Information System," an experimental framework that places benefits to stakeholders and community interests at the core of decision making was developed and validated. The second project was the extension of his PhD research "Dynamic Simulation Modelling Technique for Proactive Decision Making in Life Cycle Project Management". Dr. Doloi widely published his work in both international refereed journals and conferences. Dr. Doloi also has co-authored a book chapter in a research book published by the Project Management Institute, USA in 2004. Dr. Doloi is being consulted as consultant for training on project modelling and management in the corporate world.
