The Encyclopaedia of Australian Architecture
Editors: Professor Philip Goad and Professor Julie Willis
Funding: Equiset and Lovell Chen Architects & Heritage Consultants
The Encyclopedia of Australian Architecture project was generously supported by philanthropic donations from Equiset and Lovell Chen. The project spanned five years (2006-11) and has produced the first comprehensive reference text on Australian architecture. The Editors brought together leading Australian scholars to research and write the entries and deliberately drew upon a wide range of specialists, including academics, historians, heritage professionals and practising architects. An Advisory Board helped shape the scope of the volume, eventuating in the commissioning of nearly 230 authors to write over 1000 entries. The result is a book that is both authoritative and accessible.
