This project investigates the possibilities of retaining and remodelling as much of the existing housing and community facilities as possible while building around them to add new housing and other uses. The four towers would be retrofitted with deep balconies to provide residents with private open space. The bases of the towers would be built-out to make street-frontages on Brunswick, Napier and Gertrude Sts, as well as along new internal streets that reflect the original street grid of the area.

The amount of housing is increased from 800 dwellings to about 2,140, an increase in density from 130 dwellings per hectare to 350. The new buildings would be mostly 4 storeys in height, though along the Brunswick, Gertrude and Napier St frontages adjacent to the towers, heights are between 1 and 3 storeys.
