Text To Help Students Print: What Printer Do I Send To
- When you want to print a document, first decide if you are going to print in colour or black and white, and if you are printing A3 or A4 paper size.
- If you are printing in colour the printer to print to is called 4thlabCOL, if you are printing in black and white you can print to either Toshiba1 or Toshiba 2.
- Both the colour printer and the black and white Toshiba's support A3 and A4 paper sizes.
For example, here is a black and white A4 document I would like to print. I will go to File > Print …, and in the printer name drop down box I will select Toshiba 1 because I would like to print it in black and white. If this was a colour document I would select 4thlabCOL. For this case I will select Toshiba1. - It's always important to check your print properties before you press OK. So if I go into my print properties, you need to double check the original paper size is correct, here my paper size is A4. You need to check the print paper size is correct, and I would like to print in A4.
- Also it is important to check your orientation, whether your paper is orientated in portrait or landscape layout. Here my page is portrait. Now I have checked my print properties I can press OK.
- Check that the preview looks correct. If you would like multiple copies, change the number of copies here. I only would like one copy. And I'm ready to print so I'll press OK.
- Now my job is being sent to the print release station, ready to be able to be payed for and collected.
