Burning CD/DVD from XP OS
1. Insert a CD-R or a CD-RW into the CD drive of the computer you are working on. This will appear in the optical drive of the computer which will appear in My Computer as an icon of a drive and a CD.
2. In My Computer, navigate to the files that you wish to burn to CD or DVD.
3. Select the files you wish to add by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Right click on the selected files and from the pop up menu that appears, click send to and then click the optical drive as an icon of a drive and a CD.
4. The file will sit temporarily in the D: directory waiting to be burned to CD.
5. To complete burning to files to the CD, open My Computer and then double-click the optical drive. Then, from the File menu, click Write these files to CD.
6. This will activate the CD Writing Wizard. Enter a name for the CD in the CD name: field and click Next. This will begin burning your CD. Windows will notify you when burning is complete. Click Finish to eject your media.
