How to Apply for a Graduate Program
Application Checklist
1Selection criteria |
Ensure you meet the selection criteria. Refer to the program information for details. All applicants must also satisfy the University's English Language Requirements. |
2Personal statement |
All applications for graduate professional programs (Master of Architecture, Master of Construction Management, Master of Landscape Architecture, Master of Property, Master of Urban Planning) require a personal statement of up to 1,000 words outlining prior study, work experience, and motivation to undertake the program. There is the option to include two references from professional or academic sources. Referees can complete the Referee Report at the end of the application form. |
3Design portfolio |
A design portfolio, is required for Master of Architecture, Master of Landscape Architecture (optional for the 300 point program) and Master of Urban Design applications. No more than five A3 pages presented in hard copy, not electronically. |
4Research proposal |
A research proposal is required for higher degrees by research: MPhil and PhD |
5Submit certified copies of academic results |
Provide certified copies of your results together with a grading scale used by that University (or Faculty/Department). The definition of a certified copy is a photocopy of the original document which has the signature and official stamp of one of the following people: barrister or solicitor, Police in Charge of Station, Pharmacist, Doctor, Dentist, Principal of School, Justice of Peace, Clerk of Court indicating that they have sighted the original document. |

7Application deadlines |
Sign the application form and submit it by the deadline: Australian students - graduate professional entry and professional development programs Timely Applications: 30 November for Semester 1 (3 March 2008) commencement Late Applications will be accepted. Offers for late applications will be made subject to availability of places and will be Australian Fee paying only. Timely Applications: 31 May for Semester 2 (28 July 2008) commencement
International Students 31 October for Semester 1 (3 March 2008) commencement 30 April for Semester 2 (28 July 2008) commencement Research degrees: Apply any time during the year Scholarship closing dates: Refer to the Scholarships website |
