3C. Land Transport in Singapore: Policy, Development and Economic Impact.

Project Description
This research will 1) document and analyze the policies, institutions and infrastructure of transportation development in Singapore; and 2) assess the impact of transportation development on land productivity. Data are collected from the relevant statutory boards, professional organizations and key informant interviews. Content analysis, parametric and nonparametric statistics, spatial visualization and spatial statistics will be used in data analysis. Findings of the research link to the analysis of institutional barriers in transportation development (theme 2).
