GAMUT Public Forum

IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE ALLIANCE OF COUNCILS FOR RAIL FREIGHT: VICTORIAN RAIL FREIGHT GOVERNANCE

The Victorian Government has made major investments recently to upgrade rail freight infrastructure, as recommended by the Victorian Rail Freight Network Review. But with traffic declining and major markets in jeopardy, strong governance and marketing will be vital for country rail freight to survive, let alone reach its potential. Similar problems are facing intrastate rail in other states. The Forum will explore what needs to be done to provide the governance and marketing capacity that is needed.
