Profile
Julie is researching issues of risk and children's independent mobility.
Using an environmental psychology perspective, she is examining parents' and local government officers' conceptions of children's physical, social and traffic environments in relation to the potential positive and negative impacts on children when they are allowed to go out alone. These conceptions are also being analysed according to ten components of risk conception.
