What are you studying in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning?
The Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying.
What did you study before commencing your studies at the University of Melbourne, and at which institution?
Chisholm Tafe, Diploma of Building Surveying most recently, various studies previously in conservation and building.
What interested you in coming to the University of Melbourne? What attracted you to the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning?
Convenience mainly. I guess that The University of Melbourne's reputation also had an influence.
How are you finding your experience at the University so far? What are the highlights?
Very positive. After working my way to the resources I needed, and still developing that. I find that the staff etc, are approachable. That helps!
Highlights would be staff enthusiasm and the space that uni provides me from my work.
What are you planning to do when you have completed your studies at Melbourne?
Become a building surveyor and arbitrator. Travel to South America.
What advice do you have for other students thinking of studying in the Faculty?
Work out and build your resources asap. Use helping hands when presented to you and offer your own skills and abilities to others when possible.
