Future Students

Undergraduate

Motivated by the University's Melbourne Model leadership our undergraduate teaching is now encompassed in the Bachelor of Environments allowing students to major in built environment specialisations as well as being able to study a wide range of other areas.

To gain professional accreditation students can enter a program taught with the Melbourne School of Design which will allow them to continue the study of their chosen specialisation.

International students who have completed specific courses in their home countries may be eligible to receive advanced standing into undergraduate study. More information for international students: Lateral Entry Requirements (Credit/Advance Standing).

Students who do not qualify in the above category, credit will be assessed upon application. Further information can be found on the Bachelor of Environments Advanced Standing/Credit website.

Graduate

The University of Melbourne has launched the Melbourne School of Design as part of the University of Melbourne's Growing Esteem strategic plan and objectives. The new Graduate School will encompass professional entry programs, professional development programs and research degrees.

Professional entry programs have now become the pathways to professional accreditation in Architecture, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Property and Urban Planning.

The Melbourne Model introduces a new level of flexibility into graduate study, with pathways available for students whose study is in a non-cognate area. It also offers students the opportunity to interact with others from a range of different disciplinary backgrounds through extensive elective options.

As well as professional entry programs, ABP offers professional development programs in Property Valuation, Planning and Design and Urban Design.  These programs are for people who would like to refine and build on their professional qualifications.

Research

At ABP, we offer Graduate Research Programs (Masters and PhD) in all areas of the built environment. Research degrees are about developing and exploring your own interests and contributing to the stock of knowledge.
