Community Access Program (CAP)
Single Subject Study
ABP is a lively and creative community of staff and students working with the built and natural environments. CAP students are welcomed into most of the Faculty's offerings and are popular with those seeking a better understanding of the cities and spaces we inhabit, the building and communities of which they comprise, and the systems that support and construct them.
Single subject study is also popular with professionals wishing to update their skills for new or future roles.
Some CAP subjects have been designed in partnership with Government and professional bodies for practicing architects, landscape architects, urban planners, urban designs and property and construction professionals. Students can undertake subjects in architectural history, architectural heritage and conservation, architectural theory, construction management, construction technology, landscape architectural history and theory, project management, property studies, the history of cities, and urban planning theory and practice.
Eligibility
Applicants would normally be expected to have successfully completed VCE (or approved equivalent course of study) and to meet the prerequisites for each subject as stated in the 2008 handbook.
Applicants should note that design/studio based subjects are not available.
