Quota Subject Request Form

Admission into quota subjects is limited to students enrolled in award courses in the Melbourne School of Design. Applicants will be ranked according to each subject’s selection criteria (most often based entirely upon academic merit).
 

2010 Quota Application Closing Dates

  • For Summer Semester Subjects: 11 December 2009
  • Semester One Subjects: 30 January 2010
  • Semester Two Subjects: 25 June 2010

Applications will not be accepted after these dates.

Selection will occur in the month prior to the commencement of the semester in which the subject is offered (i.e. February for Semester 1 and July for Semester 2). Quota subject requests will not be accepted after the closing dates.

When choosing subjects for 2010, students are advised to select an alternative (non-quota) subject in the event that their quota application is not approved. Students offered a place in quota subjects will be notified via email and their enrolment amended accordingly.

Things to check prior to applying for quota subjects:

  • Have you checked that you are eligible to undertake the subject?
  • Do you have room in your enrolment for an elective?
  • Does the subject have prerequisites?
  • Have you selected a non-quota subject which you will take in the event that your quota application is not approved?

Quota Subjects for 2010

Summer Semester 2010 (Closing Date 11 December 2009)

Semester 1, 2010 (Closing Date: 30 January 2010)

Semester 2, 2010 (Closing Date: 25 June 2010)

International Travelling Studios

Students wishing to participate in an international travelling studio will be required to complete an Application Form available on the Melbourne School of Design, Travelling Studio website three months prior the commencement of the subject. Selection will be based on academic merit and the submission of an ‘expression of interest’.

You may register your interest in one of these travelling studios by submitting the Quota Subject Request Form above. You will then be emailed specific details on the studio and an Application Form in March/April 2010. Students offered a place will be notified by email and sent an enrolment record.
