Quota Subject Request Form

Admission into quota subjects are limited to students enrolled in award courses in the Melbourne School of Design. Selection into quota subjects is based on academic merit. Students who apply for a place in a quota subject will be ranked according to the weighted average of their course results. Places in each subject will be offered in accordance with the applicant's rank on the list until all places available in the subject have been filled.

Selection will occur in the month prior to the commencement of the semester in which the subject is offered (ie February for Semester 1 and June for Semester 2). Quota subject requests will not be accepted after 15 February for Semester 1 and 15 June for Semester 2.

Students offered a place in quota subjects will be notified via email and sent an enrolment record.

Things to check prior to applying for quota subjects:

  • Have you checked that you are eligible to undertake the subject?
  • Do you have room in your enrolment for an elective?
  • Have you met the prerequisites?
