Should the submission sheets for the EOI be in Landscape or Portrait format?
Submissions can be in either format, however each submission should be consistent, so that either all six sheets are Landscape format or all six sheets are Portrait format.
Is there a requirement that dictates all EOI's are to be submitted by registered architects?
The aim of the competition is to appoint an architect who will provide a full range of architectural services throughout the project, and it is expected that the appointed architect will conduct the project using best practice, including being or becoming registered with the Architects Registration Board of Victoria.
The call for expressions of interest is not strictly limited to registered architects, however respondents should demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the registration requirements should they be successful. Applicants may wish to consider a joint venture partnership in order to meet this requirement.
Can one architectural firm submit 2 or more EOI by different design teams? Can one design team submit 2 or more EOI?
Submissions should be by separate entities – an individual architect, an architectural practice, or a joint venture partnership. We have used the term ‘design teams’ to give practices the opportunity to identify who will work on this project if they are successful. A practice should decide which employees constitute the ‘design team’ for this project, and prepare a single entry for that practice
A practice may be involved in more than one submission provided each submission is by a separate entity – for example, a practice may submit once under their own name then again in a joint venture partnership with another practice, e.g. one by ABC architects and another by ABC+DEF partnership.
