1997 Graduates

2004:
Working as a project architect for Rothelowman architects in Richmond . Am involved in a mix of projects including residential, multi-unit residential, mixed use developments, commercial developments & industrial - size of projects ranges from $2-15m.
When I first left University:
I worked for Gray Puksand architects in both their Melbourne & Sydney offices. I then worked for Squillace architects in Sydney before moving back & starting at Rothelowman in Melbourne.
What I remember about my timat at ABP:
An exchange year overseas with Pennsylvania State University. The fall semester was spent in State College PA & the spring semster was spent in Roma, Italy. In Melbourne the highlights were the friendships formed and experiences shared with other students and the opportunity to learn from some of the excellent teaching staff.

Kieran Grogan

2004:
Working at Lonely Planet Publications as a Project Manager, working with a team of editors, cartographers and layout designers to put LP titles through production and prepare them for print.
When I first left university:
Worked as a graduate architect for an architectural practice specialising in facilities management.
What I remember about my time at ABP:
Probably the culture of the faculty. Hanging out in the design studios and making many close friendships. The final design project was a highlight too, working on one theme for an entire year.

2004:
Running a small (but growing) architectural partnership, Atelier Techne; I share office space with Melb Uni Grads and regularly see friends from the faculty.
When I first left university:
worked for a Lighting Designer for a year, designing and occasionally making one off light fittings for commissions in Melbourne
What I remember about my time at ABP:
The experience of being immersed in a vibrant and fun community, where study and play were well interlinked. Also, a year's exchange to University of California Berkeley was a fantastic opportunity I'll never forget. |

2004:
Exhibition Design Co-ordinator at the National Gallery of Victoria. I have been working on the development of the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia and the redevelopment of NGV International at St. Kilda Road. This includes designing exhibition fit-outs and managing design requirements at both sites. I am still in contact with some of my fellow students, even though I'm not strictly practicing architecture. I deal with them professionally through talks/forums about exhibition design, and as a client to those graduates who worked at Lab Architecture on Federation Square.
When I first left University:
Emery Vincent Design, working on environmental graphics, ie. signage and wayfinding.
What I remember about my timat at ABP:
The extensive amount of architectural history subjects available. |

When I first left university:
I had a job as an architectural graduate with Tim Hill and Associates.

Annabelle Bradbury

2004:
I am the Design Director for Interiors for a firm called CARR Design. (Architecture and Interiors). I have been in this position for almost 4 years.
When I first left university:
I worked as an Architect for Silver Thomas Hanley for 6 months then joined the team at Metier 3.
What I remember about my time at ABP:
Workshoping and design studio's were challenging and lead to a high level of exposure from such a wide range of design talent—colleagues and tutors alike.
Encouragement given by peers and tutors to delve deeper into issues, particularly design focussed ones to further strengthen my level of output. |
