Artist's Statement:
In these works, I exploit the parallel of scanning a horizon and reading a text. Generally the works are systematic and use rule-driven procedures to achieve form. Individual works may refer to fences, books, clusters of vegetation, letters and numbers - sometimes even the word HORIZON itself - but all are intended as games in which various meanings of the word HORIZON can be played out.
